Technology
The development of Brazilian grapes and wine technology is a long-held concerning and Aurora Winery has spared no expense in improving the quality of its products.
Many years ago the company created a department to provide its members with seedlings. Today, whenever a producer shows interest in planting a new variety, Aurora’s technicians will advise on the type of wine most suited to the location.
Through soil analysis, assessment of prevailing winds and by calculating the average sunlight levels and microclimate of the region, the variety most suitable and capable of achieving the best quality and productivity can be determined.
Research
In addition to its Technology Centers, Aurora has a research department that is actually a small winemaking unit. Technicians in this sector run annual tests on the grapes with enzymes and yeast in search of new results. Once approved in practice, the best of these are used in the production units and become part of the company’s final quality.
